It may be better known for cars and Motown than as a popular tourist
destination, but Detroit has much to offer and should be on your radar for that
reason alone. Once you've discovered all the cool things to do in Detroit, the
city will end up on your best places to visit list for next summer.
Detroit, Michigan is the motor city, and with good reason: it is the
world's car capital. This is because, in the early twentieth century, the four
foremost automotive pioneers decided to base their activities on Detroit.
Plan a trip to this beautiful city of Detroit so book a flight to Detroit and enjoy your days in Detroit!
1. Take a ride on the People Mover.
Taking the People Mover is one of our favourite things when visiting
Detroit. It only costs.75 to ride and takes us to several of Detroit's key
sites, including the GM Renaissance Centre, Joe Louis Arena, the former home of
the Detroit Red Wings, and Downtown. It's a terrific method to gain a sense of
the terrain. Renting a bike is another excellent method to travel around
Detroit.
2. Motown Museum
Motown was born in Detroit, and if you want to see the best piece of
Motown history, go to the Motown Museum. This is one of the most enjoyable
activities in Detroit, Michigan. The museum is in two houses, one belonging to
an old inhabitant who established the first Motown recording studio. But, once
inside, you can sense the excitement of seeing where legendary Motown artists
such as Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 got their start.
3. The Henry Ford Museum
You can only visit Detroit by seeing the Henry Ford Museum. This is
where Henry Ford, a Detroit resident, founded the legendary Ford Motor Company,
and when you visit, you'll get a sense of how Ford made it happen. You will
also have the opportunity to view the outstanding artefacts that illustrate
Henry Ford's vision and life. Greenfield Village is outside of the Henry Ford
Museum and is one of the must-see attractions in Detroit.
4. Henry Ford Rouge Factory Tour
Take a tour of the Henry Ford Rouge Factory to complement your visit to
the Henry Ford Museum. The Ford River Rouge Complex features attractions
provided by the Ford Motor Company. It holds the factory and machinery that
have kept the world's largest carmaker functioning for decades. As a visitor,
you should go to the Ford Rouge Factory Centre, which houses six Ford
factories.
5. Detroit Riverfront
For a good reason, it has been the best riverfront walk in the United
States. Aside from the spectacular views, there are many activities available.
Walking is obvious, but you may ride a boat down the riverbank. These parks
provide green spaces for strolling, jogging, picnics, and admiring the views of
the lake. There are also many cycling and walking lanes that run along the riverbank,
offering access to various attractions.
The land of Detroit is a perfect destination for your vacation so book a
cheap flight to Detroit and enjoy your days.
